About Decorate a Staircase With Garland
There are so many ways to decorate a staircase. You can use garland to decorate a staircase in several ways, adding color and life to an otherwise neutral space. Even if you don’t have a lot of space in your home, you can still give your stairs some color with some inexpensive and easy-to-do DIY projects. While you won’t get the same visual impact as a full-blown Christmas tree, the garland will make your home feel cozy and welcoming. Here are some of our favorite ways to decorate a staircase with garland.

Another idea is to hang some garland on the wall above your staircase. This will give you the added feature of making the stairs more festive by painting them a color complements your home decor. For example, if you have a red home, hanging a red garland on the wall will make both your staircases and main house look brighter and more vibrant. This option is perfect if you want to achieve a Christmas-themed look in your home but don’t want to spend too much money on décor.

You can also create some mini garlands by cutting cute little strips of floral ribbon or lace from different bright colors (give it a try!). Hang these strands across the tops of each step or at the entrance to each landing. You can also purchase garland in sets such as rose-themed garland for Easter, tulip-themed garland for springtime, or heart-shaped garland for Valentine’s Day. I created this set for my daughter to use for her Valentine’s Day party plans last year, and she loved them!
